Died 15 March 44 BC (aged 55) Rome

Achievements:

Born into a wealthy and noble family, Julius Caesar was an ambitious general and politician who rose to power in the midst of a civil war. In 61 BC he became governor of Spain and he later captured Gaul, but in 44 BC after he declared himself dictator, a group of 60 senators conspired against Caesar and on March 15 he was publicly stabbed to death in the Senate.

He invented the first cryptographic code.He replaced every letter with the letter 3 places forward in the alphabet. The Caesar code became the dominant form of encryption for centuries. But it was broken by Arab scholars n the 9th century when they invented frequency analysis studying religious scripts to find out which scripts that originated from the time where the prophet Mohammed lived and which scripts that were written later.
